CLASSIC CONTEMPORARY CHEF’S KITCHEN

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Upon first visit to this client’s kitchen, it was clear their space was i need of a complete overhaul. The space had gone through some minor aesthetic renovations in decades past, but still appeared dark, dreary and closed-off. We were excited to take on this project and help create a new space that fit with the changing needs of this client, and bring it into this century!

Our first critical step was to open up the kitchen space by removing the wall. By doing so, immediately the kitchen became more airy, contemporary, and far more functional. We also made some critical fixes to the mainfloor which was sagging in areas.

The clients wanted materials and a colour palette that was timeless, fresh and clean at the same time. They wanted it to feel like a Chef’s kitchen with lots of available counter space for prep and cooking, an island for guests to sit and dine, and loads of storage. By reconfiguring the layout, choosing light coloured shaker cabinerty, hickory flooring, quartz countertops and the showstopper geometric tile backsplash we achieved all of these wishes. The final space turned out beautiful, and we are overjoyed to give our clients a dreamy space to cook, entertain, and enjoy for decades to come.
